Standing Stone Drills: Working on separation between hips and shoulders
Axle Clean 5x3x85kg
DO Axle Deadlift 315 1/2/2/1/2
Side Lunges 3x5x135
Density Squatting 10x5x185 in 20 minutes
Grippers Supermaster 3, 2, 1
Notes: Binned the existing plan for HG season. Gonna try to just get stronger whilst still keeping the feel I’ve got for the throws. Was too aggressive with the weight selection for the axle dead. Just sort of threw the gripper work in cause I need to do it.

Open Stone 29′
HWFD 20’6″
LWFD 44’6″
Heavy Hammer 69′
Light Hammer 86′
Sheaf 9 throws

A beautiful spring afternoon. Last day of the unplanned vacation. Mother Otis owns me again tomorrow. No better way to go out than throwing and stone lifting.
In the field:
WFD drills
6 3 turn drills with 28
6 Lefty throws with 28
3 1 turn throws with 56
3 full throws with 28
In the Garage:
Stones
5 attempts at 390 natural stone all broke off of ground
2 lifts to chest of 300 natural stone
Grippers
Supermaster 5 sets of 2
Notes: I’ve found a flaw in my footwork on the WFD. Trying to remedy it. It might the one of those “not strong enough to do it right” things. Stones felt very good. Grippers too.

Sunny, windy, chilly.
In the field:
Braemar Drills working on separating hips and shoulders, then right hip activation
In the Garage:
10 singles with 257 stone to 50″ platform
Grippers 146lbs #3 Closed, then 5 over crushes with filed Supermaster
Notes: Still building volume and frequency. Didn’t feel “it” at all today. Must remain patient and let days like this happen without getting worked up about it.
